British Paratrooper - Falklands - 1982

In 1982, a tiny group of islands in the South Atlantic was thrust into the global spotlight. After the Falkland Islands were invaded by Argentina on 2 April 1982, the British government committed itself to their re-capture and liberation. A large Task Force was sent south, among whom were the Paratroopers of the 2nd and 3rd Battalions, the Parachute Regiment. Both battalions distinguished themselves; 2 Para first at Goose Green, and then again at Wireless Ridge, and 3 Para on Mount Longdon.
